Before cards are dealt, lightning randomly strikes 1-5 card VALUES (Ace through King) and paints each with a multiplier: 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, or 25x. Multipliers are visible on the table BEFORE the deal — transparency means you see the round's potential upfront.

Receive Two Cards

First Person Lightning Blackjack deals you two face-up cards. Dealer takes one face-up upcard plus one face-down hole card. Standard Blackjack from here — count card values, target 21 without busting.

Make Decisions

Hit, Stand, Double, Split, Insurance — same options as classic Blackjack. Strategy is slightly tilted toward Standing more (lightning rewards winning hands). Perfect strategy returns 99.56%. If a struck-value card joins your hand on a Hit or Double, that multiplier locks in.

Dealer Plays & Resolve

Dealer reveals hole card and plays out (S17 rule). Winning hands collect: 3:2 on blackjack, OR 0.5:1 reduced base × the lightning multiplier (up to 25x). Losing hands lose full stake. Pushes return stake.

Manage Reduced-Base Variance

First Person Lightning Blackjack's 0.5:1 base win means losing streaks bite hard between lightning windfalls. Use bankroll management: 50-100 hand session bankroll, walk away from runs of dead lightning. Landing the 25x multiplier is rare but session-defining.

Strategy Tilt

Strategy here is mostly identical to classic Blackjack, with one tilt: lightning multipliers only apply to WINNING hands. So when you'd be 50/50 between Hit and Stand in classic, lean Stand here — surviving even on weak totals still captures lightning value.

The 0.5:1 reduced base means every losing hand costs more relative to wins. Track session lightning frequency — if 30+ hands pass without lightning hitting your hands, consider table-changing.
